About Us

Join us for our 2023 PITCH PARTY https://events.humanitix.com/awesome-adelaide-pitch-party-2023

For this month (November) we have been looking for great ideas from people who will be able to present to an appreciative audience (who will also have money and votes to invest!). Same rules for applications apply here, though we want you to be part of our favourite night of the year.

Applications to submit your idea for our pitch party are now CLOSED.* You are very welcome to come along and join the fun (link above - you must book a ticket), or continue please with your application and we will consider it when we resume regular meetings (and grant giving) in early 2024!

The Awesome Foundation is microphilanthropy in action. Ten people contribute $100 each to make $1000 available each month to fund awesomeness. Since 2014 the Adelaide chapter has given more than $90,000 to changemakers, creatives, community organisations and individuals who want to make a difference (even if it is just to bring joy to a group of people).

Let us know what you are planning, why it's awesome and how you plan to spend the money. This grant process is designed to be as simple as possible and there are no strings attached to receiving funding. Applications for metropolitan Adelaide and surrounds are preferred, though grants have been awarded for regional projects.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to difficulties we have experienced with financial transactions, we are no longer accepting applications from people working in government-funded organisations, including schools. We will also never fund an application from outside of South Australia – you can try your local chapter instead (there are dozens of us globally).

Your need for the $1000 can be your catalyst for the bigger picture. But it won't fund:

• marketing for already established projects
• any travel or catering expenses
• submissions that don't show how the money will be used.
