About Us
The Awesome Foundation – Hamilton & Wenham is a joyful experiment in community giving. Each month, a group of friends and neighbors come together to award a $1,000 micro-grant—no strings attached—to a project that brings a spark of delight, creativity, or connection to our towns.
Our villages have a long history—stone walls, schoolhouses, and traditions that stretch back centuries. At the same time, we’re home to innovative thinkers, energetic kids, and community groups with fresh ideas. We believe Hamilton and Wenham are at their best when we celebrate our roots and plant new seeds for the future.
We know our towns can sometimes feel divided (school budgets, anyone?), but the Awesome Foundation is here to remind us that the things we share are bigger than what separates us. Small acts of awesome—a mural, a concert, a playground project, a new way to gather—can ripple out and make a lasting difference. We also partner with local organizations—from the Council on Aging to the schools, from arts groups to business committees—because building community works best when we do it together.
Together, let’s keep Hamilton and Wenham as awesome as they’ve always been—and even more awesome for the generations to come.
