About Us

Welcome to Driftless Awesome: A chapter of the global Awesome Foundation serving the “Driftless” region of southwestern/northwestern Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, northeastern Iowa, and Northwestern Illinois.

Driftless Awesome awarded our first grant in October 2024, and we hope to award more grants in 2025. To continue to do that we need your help! Consider joining our team of Trustees. Each Trustee contributes $100 toward a micro-grant and has a vote in which project receives funding. Join us as a Trustee for as long (or as short) as you’d like. We are also accepting donations to the Driftless Awesome fund to help fund future grants.

A few important notes: just as with other global Awesome Foundation chapters, Driftless Awesome is not a non-profit organization (Trustee contributions are not tax-deductible) and we are not asking for an investment or ownership stake in grantees’ ideas. Our goal is to provide folks with the funds to complete their awesome projects relevant to the Driftless Area. That’s it. No strings attached.
