Welcome to Driftless Awesome: A chapter of the global Awesome Foundation serving the “Driftless” region of southwestern/northwestern Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, northeastern Iowa, and Northwestern Illinois.

We are currently not accepting grant applications as we assemble our team of Trustees. Please continue to check back for updates in the near future!

In 2024-2025, we plan to fund at least 3 projects intended to make the Driftless Area even more awesome. As a first step in that process we are currently adding Trustees to our team. Each of 10 Trustees contributes $300 per year to the Driftless Awesome Fund. Trustees meet (virtually) 3x per year to review grant applications and award a total of three $1,000 grants. Sound awesome? Reach out to driftless@awesomefoundation.org to express your interest in joining on as a Trustee (minimum commitment of one year). After assembling our Trustees, we will begin reviewing grant applications and funding projects within the Driftless community!

A few important notes: just as with other global Awesome Foundation chapters, Driftless Awesome is not a non-profit organization (Trustee contributions are not tax-deductible) and we are not asking for an investment or ownership stake in grantees’ ideas. Our goal is to provide folks with the funds to complete their awesome projects relevant to the Driftless Area. That’s it. No strings attached.
