WinC Con 2018

AwesomeNYC is excited to support WinC-Con 2018, being held on June 30th at the Central Library branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. Tickets are free and can be reserved online!

The Women in Comics Collective focuses on highlighting the merit and craft work of women working in the comic book industry and beyond. We are women collective of story creators, inking artists, coloring artists, graphic novelists, manga artists, filmmakers, educators, translators, animators, and writers. We host panel discussions, gallery exhibitions and workshops all over New York, with expanding reach across the country.

WinC-Con is an annual comic and arts convention in the heart of America's cultural center: New York. We are a gathering of writers, artists, and other content creators coming together to celebrate women in the creative arts! Join us for engaging panel discussions, browsing vendors, and expanding your knowledge base of creators and works available; diverse creators and characters alike! WinC-Con is a fast-growing convention that puts marginalized voices on the forefront. Get access to hard to find comics and vendors, and add to your collection of books, comics, art, and collectibles! We've got the content that you want!

Our audiences are people who don't have access to the larger shows such as the NY Comic Con or San Diego Comic Con International, so we decided to bring the "Con" experience to our community. People have full access to professionals that they may not ordinarily would have been able to talk to.
