We're delivering unique, edgy walking tours of Melbourne focussing on the inner suburbs where walking tours are currently not venturing. We aim to give visitors a real sense of what it is to be a local and provide locals an insight into their beautiful city. We explore areas that some locals don't even know about and where tourists will be able to take photos and hear stories that not all visitors get to hear. Visitors will walk away knowing how the locals love and why this is the most liveable city in the world.
Our guides are experiencing, or have experienced homelessness in their life and are in public housing and unemployed. We're aiming to provide long term sustainable employment, whilst supporting them to integrate back into society, the private rental market and help them achieve their personal goals. We want to create a non-judgmental environment where labels and stigma do not exist and feel that having our guides in these roles provides a platform for this to happen.
We also aim to be competitive and provide walking tours that are commercial with quality products. Our USP is that we deliver tours in areas that are diverse, culturally rich, historical, modern, fun, arty and where the locals actually live. We see our tours as holistic and therefore giving an all round view to satisfy all interested. With the guides' experience to add, they can tell stories that are otherwise untold, show areas conventional tours do not and finally give a true local perspective of Melbourne living through people that really know it best.
