Haven of Hope:"Focus on Fitness"

The Haven Of Hope is an organization that focuses on low-income families and individuals throughout rural Miami Dade County (Little Haiti, Little Havana, Liberty City, Miami Gardens, and Opa-Locka). Our motto is that every individual can emerge with nothing missing or broken but leave in complete wholeness in every area of their lives. Our primary function is to educate then feed. Our goal is to connect with five families or five individuals from each of the listed communities. we will educate and empower low-income families or individuals on how to maintain healthy lifestyles and provide food over the course of the program for a three-month period. This project will shine a spotlight on the healthy food choices and give them a jump start in living a long and healthy life.

This is our first project for this 2020 fiscal year. Our Goal is to provide an annual membership and food for the first three months. We will be partnering with local fitness centers, nurses, and assistants that have committed to donating their time to our organization. We know from volunteering over the years in this rural area of Miami Dade County that these families and individuals are experiencing health issues. Negative health issues can have profound negative effects on one’s health if not treated within a certain period of time, but The Haven of Hope has developed a model to quantify success in consultation with various experts. With your financial support, it will allow us to provide memberships to local fitness centers in the community, educational pamphlets on nutrition and allow them to create with mentoring assistance a three-month guide to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our volunteers and partners are committed to remaining in place until each family produces a positive outcome.

The Founder of The Haven of Hope has been fortunate to maintain this FREE service to the community for 8 years. her heart has been moved to stay consistent because so many has given up and she won't
