Berm Wave Field Meadow

I recently purchased a vacant side lot at 1991 Seward in the LaSalle Gardens neighborhood of Detroit adjacent to a rental property I own and have been rehabbing. I am planning to put a wildflower meadow on half of the lot, and a vegetable garden on the other side. I will maintain it and will seek assistance from residents and property owners in the neighborhood.

For the wildflower meadow portion, I would love to put in a berm wave field, similar to that on the University of Michigan's North Campus (https://campusinfo.umich.edu/article/wave-field-north), but with wildflowers instead of grass. I would plant water-loving wildflowers in the valleys and flowers more tolerant of drier soil on the peaks.
