Essex County Pet Pantry is a not-for-profit pet food and supply assistance organization based in Essex County, Massachusetts. Its mission is to help local families keep their beloved pets fed and cared for during times of financial hardship so they don’t have to make the heartbreaking choice of surrendering their animals due to cost struggles. The pantry collects donations of pet food, supplies, and financial contributions, and plans to offer county-wide drop-off and pick-up (or delivery) options to support pet owners in need. I am the founder and a member of Georgetown. Our board members and myself recognized the real costs of pet care and want to ensure no pet goes hungry and no family has to make the decision to feed themselves or their pets.
