Little Bites, Big Impact at Doyon & Winthrop

We are hoping to win to support the restocking of the snack stations at our two elementary schools, where every child has access to nutritious snacks throughout the day. These stations—located in the nurse’s office (Winthrop) or at the front desk (Doyon)—serve a dual purpose: they are not only a source of healthy fuel for growing bodies, but also a quiet, supportive space where students can take a break, self-regulate, and return to the classroom more focused and ready to learn.
This isn’t just about snacks—it’s about well-being. There isn’t a single student who hasn’t benefited from these stations. Whether it’s a child who didn’t have time for breakfast, a student with extra energy who needs to step out and regroup, or someone just needing a quick moment of care and comfort, the snack station is always there.
The challenge is that the demand is constant, and the supply often falls short. At Doyon Elementary, in particular, the burden of keeping the station stocked frequently falls on the shoulders of parents. Our goal is to eliminate that strain and ensure that all children—regardless of background or circumstance—have reliable access to healthy options when they need them most.
With your support, we can keep these snack stations full of nutritious, kid-approved choices and continue to create small but powerful moments of care that make a big difference in our school community.
