Murals

This last summer I led a group of artists and volunteers and we created 6 murals at the Churches United homeless shelter in Fargo ND. It was a project that aimed to bring some color and life to a crisis center that was unfortunately very dull and lacked many colors. The project was long and it took six months. In that time I notice in real time how much having those art murals impacted the residents of that shelter and how positively they engaged and remarked on them.

After that experience, I had this urge to do more similar mural paintings around town. Mural paintings can be part of the community and serve as a source of joy, wonder, and a way for people to engage with the arts outside of museums and art classes.
