Honey Chile Hives are located across several different locations in Detroit. This labor of love began as a way to start a new adventure while helping to support our local ecosystem. Honey Chile (pronounced like "child" - but without the d on the end - this is an homage to a term of affection in several dialects, and is common in the African American community) has become much more than a beekeeping project. In addition to the beekeeping work, we also visit communities and offer educational activities in fun and interactive ways. Locations include local farmer's markets, children's summer day camps, community events, and block club parties. We bring Honey Chile directly to neighborhoods with a rip-roaring, dynamic, experiential adventure!
