Crochet Portraits of Indian Women in STEM

I am creating crochet portraits of Indian Women in STEM, the recognition of whom in the society is not commensurate with the contributions they have made in the field. I recently created my first portrait using crochet of Janaki Ammal, the first Indian woman to obtain Ph.D. from abroad. Her contributions to the field of botany are immense. She made the sugar we eat today sweeter! I hope to create more crochet portraits in the future and organize an exhibition for fundraising to support women's Ph.D. education in India.
