Street Revitialization

We are a condominium community located on 8th Street S.E. in Congress Heights D.C. Overall 8th Street is a quiet dead-end street but because it is adjacent to a school, playground and a very busy main road, we get quite a bit of pedestrian activity from the nearby school as well as individuals utilizing the park. We also have some very overgrown trees that impact pedestrian safety especially once it gets dark.

With all of this activity comes quite a bit of littering. Members of our community would like to plants some flowers, in hopes that their beauty would deter people from littering. We would also like to trim the trees so that it is easier for people to see you and for you to see them especially when turning the corner and crossing the street.
