Operation PPE

Operation PPE is a collaborative effort by architects connected to UofM Taubman College of Architecture to utilize the current tools and skills we have in design and fabrication to shift focus and fabricate PPE for healthcare workers. Primary focus of the group is to use our collective 3d printers to print bands for face shields. A group of 35 architecture students, faculty, and alumni are currently working on this effort with the base of operations being conducted at the UofM Taubman College of Architecture where a team there is using the school's large knife cutter to cut the plastic shields and assemble the masks. Together over the past week we have donated a combined total of over 600 face shields.
