The Library for Food Sovereignty

The Library for Food Sovereignty (LFS) is a knowledge commons for inspiring, exchanging, and safeguarding farmer innovations, famer-led research, and farmer stories from around the world.

What our grantee has to say:

"This project explores the application of information and communication technologies within the indigenous farming community, I will specifically use this funding to help develop participatory innovation development and farmer-led documentation practices.

What our trustees have to say:

“A unique approach to building a knowledge commons that not only facilitates the sharing of information but also its protection from commercial interests.”

“This project aims for a delicate balance between culturally-sensitive open access and the preservation of intellectual property rights for individual farmers.”

“An inspiring project with a big impact.”
