Letters of Hope: Spreading Hope with Letters

Letters of Hope will partner with Ho‘okele Elementary School in Kapolei, HI to create an Encouraging Letters Wall and Mailbox during World Kindness Week (November 2025). The project will provide students, parents, and teachers with a creative and meaningful way to share kind words and encouragement with one another.

The Letters Wall will showcase uplifting letters, drawings, and notes from the school community, while the Mailbox will serve as both a collection point and a writing station where students can drop off or create new letters of hope.

Goals: Promote Kindness & Belonging – Foster a school-wide culture of encouragement, positivity, and inclusion.

Empower Student Voice – Give children the opportunity to write, share, and receive uplifting words, building confidence and compassion.

Engage Families & Teachers – Involve parents and staff in contributing letters, strengthening the home–school connection.

Build a Lasting Tradition – Establish a kindness initiative that can continue beyond the week, creating a permanent space for hope and encouragement.
