Anchor Bank and Trust

We work at GHS in the sub-separate therapeutic program known as Anchor. In Anchor we have established a positive behavior incentive system where students can earn tickets based on their behavior and productivity during class time to use as a currency for rewards. In the math class we use what is called Anchor Bank and Trust as a way for students to learn about real life financial applications such as savings and interest. With the tickets earned students can shop from a list of rewards. Many of the rewards are physical items that the staff purchases out of our own pockets. Examples of these items are snacks, erasable pens, fidgets or even lunch purchased from a local restaurant.
