During the FIFA World Cup, we will transform the outdoor patio at Manny’s into a community-focused “World Cup Fan Zone” for South Bend.

The Manny’s World Cup Patio will be a welcoming space where people from all backgrounds can gather to experience the world’s most popular sporting event together. We will show matches outdoors on a large screen and create an immersive, festival-like atmosphere inspired by the fan zones seen in cities around the world.

The patio will be visually transformed with international flags hung from the building and overhead café lights, creating a canopy that celebrates the many cultures represented in our community. We also plan to host a bracket-style contest that allows guests to engage with the tournament and follow along throughout its duration, along with select themed match days highlighting different countries and soccer traditions.

South Bend is home to a growing and diverse international population, including many students and families who follow the World Cup passionately. This project creates a space where those communities, and the broader public, can come together, connect, and celebrate global culture through sport.

The fan zone will be open to the public with no cover charge, making it an accessible and inviting environment for anyone who wants to participate. While food and beverage will be available for purchase, no ticket is required to attend.
