This is our second stab at getting some awesome money for our awesome project!

Music in Compton Park is a homegrown music festival in the Sunnyside neighbourhood of Kingston (just south of Kingston Centre, between Princess and Brock) that has been running for the last 3 years. We have been able have the community come together and connect at this yearly event while enjoying live music, food, face painting, and crafts in our own local park. We want to maintain a welcoming and inclusive space where families, children, and residents of all ages and backgrounds can gather and spend time together as a community.

We work to create opportunities for neighbours to share their own music and talents. In addition, we strive to strengthen the culture of our neighbourhood through diverse artists, musical styles and languages.

This festival is entirely volunteer-run and made possible by the dedication, skills, and passion of community members. We want to continue to create a fun, accessible, and inclusive experience for everyone.
