Hi. I have been working with numerous special needs children (including my own) on emotional and social skills, using nature spaces. I have great feedback from parents who would like more support in this area and I am keen to pioneer a study into looking at the therapeutic effect of nature on children with special needs. Each program will last about 8-12 weeks and require parents to participate in ongoing surveys. The main cost would be manpower estimated at $1,600-$2,400 part funded by this Awesome Grant and my own monetary contribution (as we intend to launch the program to families with special needs at a significant subsidy).
