Hi! I started a Facebook page 9 days before Halloween last year to share my love of Halloween and my giant display we set up every year and to feature all Halloween haunts and related events ect. In just a short 9 days I gained almost 700 followers! Wow! I then did giveaways, contests, awarded certificates/trophys, set up a photo station, added a street list and map to all the decorated houses for all to enjoy! My thought was simple, everyone loves a street map to view Christmas lights with a hot chocolate, so why not a Halloween one with an apple cider? I never expected to bring so many together in our community in such a few short days! I met so many amazing Halloween enthusiasts like myself and made new forever friends! I paid for everything out of pocket wish added up pretty fast. Gloucester Ghouls will be my main focus the whole month of Sept leading up to Halloween where I have new ideas and plans. I had a silly vision, I made it a reality in just 9 days, just imagine what I can do in the second year with more time. There was no better feeling then the countless cars driving by all the displays, kids excited, all the homeowners welcoming the community to their haunts, parents holding my street map and saying whoever started Gloucester Ghouls is awesome (not knowing I was indeed the Gloucester Ghoul), the random shoutouts on social media platforms, and how I was able to bring a little Halloween spirit to all in Gloucester! I was also awarded “Most Spirited” buy an anonymous group last Halloween for all my time and work. I am super excited to start working on my project for the 2026 season and can’t wait to keep watching it grow year by year.
