Our charity, Spirit of Giving Fundraising Hub Inc, was founded in 2023. We provide for the forgotten members of our region; the needy, the lonely and disadvantaged. Through our charity hub we operate a laundry service whereby we wash and dry their clothes, offer food items, provide clothing and linens, footwear, cutlery, tents and sleeping bags. Where a need exists, we have sought to fulfil it. Historically, we have provided haircuts and beard trims to keep our clients looking and feeling neat. In the near future we will have showers and toilets installed so that those lacking such facilities can come to us and tend to their hygiene. Having been in operation for the past three years, we have long endeavoured to create a warm, pleasant environment for the population we serve, where stories may be freely shared and every individual is treated with dignity and respect. In our fundraising efforts, we have partnered with other charitable organizations who share our mission, such as Home In Place, Samaritans and the Salvation Army. Our volunteer base draws from a variety of employment providers, among them APM and Joblink Plus, and has been growing significantly through 2026. Under a partnership with Maitland Community Corrections, this will soon include offenders on remand doing community service work.
