Defense, our chapter’s latest grantee.

“We are facing an existential threat to our democracy. What we've learned over the last year in Minnesota is that we can build a strong and resilient coalition of neighbors that is able to stand up to authoritarianism in a powerful and nonviolent way. We must continue to mobilize. The midterm election is underway. Early voting for primaries has already begun in Minnesota. During Operation Metro Surge, I helped organize hundreds of my neighbors in Saint Paul to educate local businesses on their fourth amendment rights and provide them with materials to help make their employees safer. I'd like to do this again with voting. I plan to canvass my neighborhood to help folks understand their voting rights and to build a coalition of neighbors in Saint Paul to help fortify our democracy by standing together to make sure our elections are fair and free from interference.”
