Songs of Peace, Protest, and Hope

Merrill Piepkorn and the Fargo-Moorhead Unitarian Universalist Church (FMUU) are partnering to do a free concert in Broadway Square on a Sunday afternoon, on August 2nd. It will be a wide roster of accomplished performers, including powerful vocalists, electric bands, acoustic guitarist/singers, and a string quartet. They are all donating their time. The songs are being curated to be inspiring, thought provoking, and with a theme of social justice, democracy, and hope. This concert will be a strong, moving experience that we believe will encourage people to action. Numerous non-partisan non-profit and organizing groups are going to have tables. We hope this will be a catalyzing community event.
The current performer roster includes:
Merrill Piepkorn,
Pat Lenertz,
Gina Powers,
Gregg Temple,
Darrin Wentz,
Jeff Johnson,
Crop Dusters
Fourfeathers band,
Lannie Faleide
Melissa Niemi,
Justice for Stringbean
Norden String Quartet

In line with the policy of Broadway Square, this will not be a political rally.
