We are excited to support the Foster Bike Park as our November grant recipient! Foster Bike Park, located next to Yankee Stadium on 164th St in The Bronx, is a former ice skating rink that has been home to the BMX community since 1988. With generations of riders coming through the park the space is a staple of BMX in NYC and beyond.

Brendan Vail writes: "The DIY wooden course constantly changes and we are excited to be making some much needed repairs to the park through the cold months to keep things running smoothly into the spring.

"We provide helmets everyday and give out new and refurbished bikes to kids in the community regularly as well as hosting a number of annual events to bring riders from all over the northeast and beyond out to hang and ride."

This AwesomeNYC grant will help keep Foster Bike Park in working order before their big renovation which is scheduled to begin at the end of 2026.
