Woodchix Foundation has workshops for Empowering Women in woodwork, joinery and DIY. They are taught hand tools, machinery, decorative joints, safety and a whole lot more.

I am passionate about educating and teaching women hands-on skills in woodwork & joinery, building confidence, self esteem and preparing women to consider trade apprenticeships.

Membership is $199 per year + $10 per visit. I would like to get grants for women who are not financially able to join. $1000 will give 5 women an opportunity join and learn.

Should Woodchix be approved for a grant I will be approaching Women's Health Centres, refuges, and local Penrith based organisations who assist DV women to offer these women who are in great need of support, friendship & inclusion these memberships.

Having grant money to offer these memberships on a regular basis would be ideal as there are so many in need and of all ages and cultures.
