Sound Bend Records is an independent record shop in South Bend that I created to celebrate music, community, and culture. More than just a store, it’s a gathering space where people can connect through vinyl, discover new sounds, and support local artists.

Our collection is carefully curated to spark curiosity, across genres, eras, and moods. Beyond records, we offer unique items inspired by music culture, like candles themed after bands and artists, each designed with its own scent and color.

The heart of SoundBend is community. I want the shop to be a hub for connection and creativity, with plans to host listening parties, local artist pop-ups, and events that bring people together through music. South Bend doesn’t have many spaces that center around vinyl culture, and SoundBend fills that gap by encouraging people to slow down, flip through records, and share experiences face-to-face.

This project matters because music has always been a powerful connector, it builds bridges across backgrounds, inspires nostalgia, and sparks joy. SoundBend Records is about nurturing that connection in South Bend: a place where people come not just to buy vinyl, but to belong.
