Project BANI

We restore abandoned land in Philly and turn it into active food-producing, pollinator friendly, youth-led ecosystems. In under 3 days, with just a shovel, we restored 600+ sq ft of land. Over 20 crops were planted, 50+ lbs of food grown and shared, and 200 lbs of food waste turned into compost. We’ve captured over 100 gallons of rainwater, sequestered an estimated 800 lbs of carbon, and started tracking local pollinator species returning to the site. So far we documented bees, dragonflies, groundhog, ants, worms, and butterflies.

Everything was built from scratch - no machines, no paid staff, just recycled materials, youth hands, and a system we built ourselves. We also developed the full backend: compost logs, visual proof, and internal operations, so this project isn’t just visible - it’s scalable.

This is more than a garden. It’s land restoration, environmental education, food access, and youth leadership - all built by hand, block by block.
