Congratulations to students enrolled in Saint Paul Public Schools' Online Elementary School who will be enjoying ice cream treats thanks to AwesomeStPaul. Our May grantee is special education teacher Kimberly Zallaps who explained, "I am a teacher who works at the Online Elementary School in the St. Paul Public Schools. We have students in an online school (and also have programs for middle school and high school) because some families really enjoyed online learning. We are a Title 1 school. This means that many of the families at our school might not have the same resources that other families may have. We wanted to do something fun for our end-of-the-year school party but can't afford the ice cream truck that some of the other schools around can afford. We want to bring smiles to kids by hiring an ice cream truck to come to our school!"
