BRAVE Friday May 30 2025:
The Salvation Army, at our location at Northridge Community Church, will be hosting a BRAVE event where we expect upwards to 100 girls aged 12 – 16 and volunteers to attend. Sponsors are needed to support the event financially as well as door prize items.

BRAVE is an evening event to remind girls that they are valuable and worth being celebrated. There is an encouragement for them dream big for what their future can be. Our goal is to give them a boost of confidence and self-esteem and inspire them to be brave.

BRAVE intentionally reaches vulnerable girls (foster care/probation/sexual abuse/divorce) who are at risk of human trafficking.
BRAVE sees empowerment as the GOAL. We want girls to be strong and free.
BRAVE celebrates diversity—all colors, shapes & sizes!
BRAVE connects the community and the local church to work together.
BRAVE believes girls are the solution not the problem

Girls will be invited to attend the event from all across York Region. Referring sources will be from York Region CAS and other girl specific community programs as well as local churches.
