Stoop Stories is a movable event that takes original plays and performances by local writers off the stage and onto the stoops of San Francisco. By removing the physical and financial barriers of a traditional theatre, Stoop Stories aims to make theatre and exercise accessible to everyone.
Each story is broken into five 10-minute scenes, told chronologically over a three hour period on stoops within a ten-block radius. The stories are free to watch, but interested stoop crawlers can purchase a map revealing scene locations ahead of time. For every map purchased, Stoop Stories will donate a portion of the funds to a local non-profit working towards reducing homelessness in San Francisco.
