I have partnered with an awesome chef and an aboriginal elder to create an aboriginal cafe in Redfern (Sydney).
We plan to create affordable meals for the aboriginal and wider community with indigenous flavours, whilst employing aboriginal staff from the local aboriginal hospitality training college.
The aim of the project is to provide a warm and welcoming space for aboriginal people to call their own, to enjoy an affordable meal and to help promote and celebrate aboriginal culture by adoring the walls with artwork and sculptures that patrons can buy to help support aboriginal artists,
The cafe is going to be run as a social enterprise with 50% of any profits being donated to a foundation set up to help aboriginal health and education casues
