This project is about community engagement and creating a positive narrative around black life in Baltimore captured specifically by a black visual storyteller. Observing black people in everyday life situations surrounded by and intertwined with curated floral arrangements.
Have you ever seen a black flower? They exist. Have you ever seen a black bouquet of flowers? It's not something often seen yet they exist. Alive, vibrant and just as beautiful as any other flower or arrangement.
This project will use not only models but everyday community members to show our diversity and how beautiful flowers can grow from anywhere, even what some might consider unlikely places.
