Since 2009 my creative work has expanded to include recording interviews and oral histories of renegade subcultures. In 2022, much of this work was published in Season 1 of Back Channel Radio, "A Wolf Spider Island Story". This was a finite, six episode series specifically about the history of boathouse communities on Latsch Island in the Mississippi River. Since then, I have continued to record various other, previously undocumented stories from the underground. I am working on a complete season 2 of the podcast that will feature many of these stories. I am the head writer, researcher, and host. I work closely with NPR radio producer Suzanne Hogan, who is my editor for this project.
