Pocket Park Art Exhibits

Since 2021, the Ivanhoe Village Design Committee has worked to transform a long-overlooked parcel along Virginia Drive into a welcoming pocket park for everyone who lives, works, and visits our district. Designed to be fully accessible, shaded, and flexible, the space invites neighbors to pause, connect, and feel part of the creative energy that defines Ivanhoe Village.
With support from the Awesome Foundation, we hope to add a vibrant public art installation that celebrates the heart of our community. The project will feature six (6) 2’x3’ art panels mounted on the park’s existing fence, each serving as a canvas for local and emerging artists. These panels will showcase original artwork that reflects the character, culture, and color of Ivanhoe
Village, empowering artists as small business owners and contributors to our district’s identity. To keep the installation fresh, the artwork will be replaced annually, ensuring that the park continues to evolve with our community.
One panel will be created in collaboration with the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC), offering an engaging, educational graphic about the nearby city well: connecting art, infrastructure, and everyday life in a creative way. This project extends beyond beautification: it strengthens the connection between public space, art, and economic vitality. It will transform a functional fence into an open-air gallery, turning the park into a place where residents gather, visitors linger, and local artists are celebrated.
