project eNCourage is a public art initiative to spread hope and positivity across North Carolina with public art. Phase 1 of this project would be installed throughout Raleigh NC in the form of yard signs, which will be 'art dropped' at intersections across Raleigh that are already full of political, voting, or yardsale signs.
Colorful gradients and bold text signs installed will remind Raleigh communities of positivity through affirmations like "Keep Going" or "Proud of You" or "Don't Give Up" for example. The goal is for this to be a multi phase public art project that will eventually include larger public works like murals This first phase is intended to be a 'sign of the times' in form of yard signs, posters, and banners to promote positive, connecting, and inclusive messages, and the main goal is to make a meaningful, hopeful impact on those who view the work.
