Stolen Childhood

PANDAS/PANS Ontario, a non profit organization founded in Sarnia, ON five years ago, is planning an educational and awareness evening for PANDAS/PANS Awareness Day on October 10th, 2019.

The event is being presented by PANDAS/PANS Ontario and local business entrepreneurs Tyler and Ashely Smith of The Woods Hair Salon. It will also involve other local volunteers who's children are affected by PANDAS and other local organizaitons/individuals volunteering to help make the event a success.

We will be screening an award winning documentary created by Toronto filmmakers and members of PANDAS/PANS Ontario that not only educates the public about this growing and concerning autoimmune condition that is often missed and/or misdiagnosed but also highlights the difficult journey so many of the families must take on the road to diagnosis and recovery.

A reception with local food, entertainment and silent auction will precede the event and a Q and A with film cast members (featuring Ontario's leading Pandas/Pans medical specialist) and the film's producers will follow the film.

Local families living through this journey desire more acceptance and knowledgeable support from our community members for the sake of their children and our children's agencies and medical organizations in Sarnia-Lambton are eager to learn more about how to best help these families. We hope this event will be a good step forward for PANDAS/PANS in Sarnia-Lambton.
