Changing the Entrance

We would like to create a timber raised bed for plants. We have junior cadets that can get involved in looking after the plants by watering and weeding the area. Our junior cadets start at 10 so this is a good age for them to start learning how to care and look after things giving them a little responsibility.

So the adult volunteers would be the ones that would be making the planters (we have approximately 25 ) once made the junior cadets and the senior cadets will be able to help with lining the planters before the soil would arrive so that they can be filled. Once that is completed we would then be able to purchase plants for the cadets to plant out. They will then be able to look after the plants whilst waiting for them to bloom and make the unit more attractive for when we have visitors to the unit. To be seen by the parents and friends of the unit and the whole community when passing the unit on there way into Earlestown shopping area. Hopefully it will be enjoyed by everyone

We are based in Earlestown and we have a lot of events that start from out side our building. Our Remembrance Sunday Parade starts from our unit with the walking band and followed by veterans and all local groups, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and local schools.
