Appalachian Medical Solidarity

Myself and a friend are current EMTs with many years of experience and skills which we want to share with our community and especially people who cannot afford to go to typical classes to learn these skills.

We are actively reaching out to the homeless of Asheville through advocates like BeLoved House, the Black & Hispanic communities through organizations and leaders like Green Opportunities and Black Lives Matter Asheville as well as street activists and political go-getters who typically don't have organizational support. We have, in fact, done classes for the homeless at BeLoved House already and two activist oriented classes in Asheville.

This project is mainly about teaching marginalized people but also about being available for people when medical support is needed or likely to be needed. When possible, coaching students in these instances is the clincher for learning!

This project is for the Health and Courage of all to live well in Asheville.
