JOBS Program

The JOBS Program is a workforce development and life stabilization initiative designed to help participants overcome barriers to employment, education, and long-term self-sufficiency. The program serves individuals facing challenges such as homelessness, justice involvement, housing instability, educational barriers, unemployment, and limited access to economic opportunities.

Hosted at the Field Library in Peekskill, the program creates a welcoming and community-centered environment where participants can rebuild confidence, develop professional skills, and prepare for meaningful employment and career advancement.

The JOBS Program combines workforce readiness training with personal development support. Participants receive assistance with resume building, interview preparation, digital literacy, communication skills, financial literacy, career exploration, and job readiness. The program also connects participants to supportive resources that help address barriers that often prevent long-term success.

What makes this project unique is its focus on restoring dignity, opportunity, and hope. Many participants have experienced setbacks that left them disconnected from stable employment pathways. The JOBS Program helps bridge that gap by providing practical tools, mentorship, encouragement, and access to resources within a safe and supportive setting.

The program is intentionally designed to meet participants where they are and help them move toward sustainable independence. By partnering with community organizations and utilizing trusted community spaces like the library, the initiative increases accessibility for individuals who may not otherwise engage in workforce systems.
