Currently, our government is sliding into authoritarianism, gutting social programs, firing people, increasing surveillance, and making life harder for queer people. To Americans, this is new, but to Black Americans and immigrants — we used it to. So, why not tap into our Hooman resources and learn how to survive and prepare for what’s to come?

The idea is to host a PowerPoint comedy show where immigrant comedians, activists and organizers provide tips on how to survive Authoritarianism. They will be providing tips on different topics such as Food, Medicine, Government/Policing, and Social Media. Examples include: if the FDA is going to be defunded, you should stock up on aspirin now as future products contaminations may not be caught as early. Another example: we expect grocery prices to rise, so if you’re struggling think of starting a hydroponic garden or joining your neighborhood community garden.
