Tracing the paths of migrants, specifically the paths undertaken by refugees from crises in and around Burma, cataloguing and sharing these experiences and encounters with individuals via the written word and through culinary recipes, shared via social media (Medium/ Web) and on print. Undertaking a more personal and food - centric perspective towards the issues - I hope to flesh out the links between the neighboring countries, highlighting the situations unfolding in our backyards. The grant is targeted to kickstart the beginnings of an ongoing project, since it shouldn't be possible to cover the breadth of the issue(s), and migratory paths within 1 month.
Aiming for the project to start March 2018, fieldwork to take 3 - 4 weeks.
