Changing The Norm

We The People Growers Association (WTPGA) has recently signed a land lease agreement for 1.5 acres to create a community-based farm with the goal to employ men and women returning home from incarceration. Currently, we have tilled 8,000 sq. ft. and have created, thus far, twelve 50 ft. x 3 ft. vegetable beds which will soon be filled with organic compost and lots of organic transplants, primarily culinary herbs. As our awesome project develops, one of our immediate needs is infrastructure development. We The People Growers Association has the opportunity to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley (HHHV) to meet a critical infrastructural need. This need consists of a tool shed for storage as well as a place for employees and volunteers to rest and re-hydrate. This tool shed will allow WTPGA to safely and securely store on-site resources. In addition, the rest/re-hydration station will be an indispensable gesture to show that WTPGA cares about people. WTPGA strives to be intentional in demonstrating its values of kindness, care, and compassion for others.
