"A Van Called Turtle" is a sci-fi short film that follows Reed and Quinn, two queer twentysomethings, as they develop a fleeting yet formative connection one summer evening in Providence. The project has been self-financed, paid in full out of the artists' own savings. Nearly wrapped, finances got tight and the project's at risk of stalling out. Funding for film and video projects is super challenging in Rhode Island, so Awesome Foundation is offering support to bring this over the finish line.
