Sacred Passage Community Grief Support Fund

Sacred Passage Death Doula Services provides compassionate, non-medical support to individuals and families navigating serious illness, death, and grief in Cass and Clay counties. Founded in 2025 and now a nonprofit, our organization exists to ensure that no one has to face dying or loss alone.

With this $1,000 grant, we will create a Community Grief Support Fund to offer free and sliding-scale death doula services to individuals and families who are experiencing isolation, caregiving overwhelm, or financial barriers to care. This includes one-on-one emotional support, companionship during serious illness or dying, guidance around end-of-life conversations, and grief support before and after death.

Funds will be used for direct service hours, grief and legacy materials, and outreach so that care can reach people who are often overlooked, especially those without family support or access to traditional services.

In the Fargo–Moorhead area, where isolation, long winters, and limited grief resources intensify loss, this project brings care back into community at a time when it is deeply needed.
