Medium-Sized Social Justice Leaders to Hear Page!

We are so pleased to fund an experience for St. Paul 8th grade students to attend a social justice lecture featuring Justice Alan Page.

Teacher Jamie Williams says, “I am a teacher-facilitator of Dare 2 Be Real at Capitol Hill Middle School in St. Paul. Dare 2 Be Real is a student-led anti-racist group comprised of 23 culturally diverse 8th graders. Their mission is "to do our best to eliminate racism and discrimination within our school and community through educating ourselves and our peers."

“These students are social justice leaders in our school community and have a unique opportunity to see social justice pioneer, Justice Alan Page speak at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota on February 13, 2026.

“Students would take a field trip to Carleton to hear Justice Page. Afterward, we will meet in a conference room so students can debrief and reflect on what they heard and learned. Students will be prompted to consider ways to apply what they've learned to our school community and beyond.

“Additionally, while on campus, they will get an opportunity to tour the facilities and have lunch in the dining hall. Hopefully sparking an interest in post-secondary education!”
