Pocketbook Poetry Society
Pocketbook Poetry Society is a community engagement program that invites young, emerging writers to express themselves through the art of poetry. Originally launched as an intimate gathering space, the program has quickly evolved into a thriving literary community. In just three months, it has grown from a small group of 20 members to a dedicated following of over 200 supporters, regularly drawing audiences of 50+ to monthly events hosted at Momo Wholefood.
As an open mic event, Pocketbook Poetry Society invites a broad and diverse range of poets and writers—whether seasoned performers or first-time readers—to share their work in a supportive, judgment-free environment. This open format encourages participation from all walks of life.
Through open mics, creative workshops, and collaborative writing sessions, Pocketbook Poetry Society empowers young adults to share their voices.
