Hello, I am a teacher from East Technical High School (A CMSD school) located in East Cleveland. Recently our school has partnered up with Good Knights from Lorain County to expand into Cuyahoga County by making the school it new “chapter”. Our goal is to give children ages 3 to 18 a bed to sleep in. The students and staff of East Tech volunteer there time to build head and foot boards and deliver them to local children who may have never even had a bed before. What this process looks like is first we gather the materials and build the head and foot boards. All mattresses and bedding have been donated to us. Then CMHA identifies the families that need beds for their children. Once they are identified we determine a delivery date and East Tech students and staff deliver assemble and make the bed with fresh bedding for the child.
