Its Just the Beginning for Kindred!

After years of leading community health and wellness initiatives at The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County, I saw firsthand how programs that focus on the whole person, mind, body, and heart, can change lives. When The Partnership closed, I felt a deep responsibility to keep that work alive. Out of that commitment, I launched The Kindred Institute for Leadership and Wellness to continue providing the resources, education, and opportunities our community needs to thrive.

Kindred’s mission is to strengthen individuals and organizations by fostering leadership development, wellness education, and meaningful connections. Our programs build essential skills like emotional intelligence, resilience, and empathy, skills that not only improve personal wellbeing but also create stronger workplaces, families, and communities.

In just a short time, we’ve begun building momentum, from leading a guest presentation at a local company’s annual employee training day to engaging residents in conversations about mental health, stress management, and compassionate leadership. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, reaffirming that there is a real need for this work in Carroll County.
A $1,000 Hey Westminster! grant would allow us to take the next step—expanding outreach, increasing awareness, and hosting more community-based events that are accessible and inclusive. These events will bring people together, equip them with practical tools for wellness and leadership, and strengthen the health and vitality of our county.

This is just the beginning for Kindred, and with your support, we can create a ripple effect of kindness, connection, and well-being that will benefit Carroll County for years to come.
